Florida’s 2021 Legislative Session gets underway in a couple of weeks. In the run up to the start of the session on March 2, lawmakers have been in Tallahassee attending committee meetings. WUWF recently checked in with District 3 Representative Jayer Williamson of Pace to talk about the tough work ahead.
“There’re a lot of impacts we’ve had from coronavirus, where revenues are down,” said Williamson, projecting a budget shortfall of about $2.8 billion in this budget year, and possibly a shortfall of up to $1.8 billion next fiscal year.

Feb. 11 Ice accumulations overnight into Thursday led to led to hazardous driving conditions and power outages.
Lexington, regional and state officials urged people to stay off the roads while crews worked to try to make them less hazardous. Traffic accidents and other calls for police assistance on the roads were frequent Thursday morning.
The ice storm warning for Lexington was canceled Thursday morning, but power outages continued and roads remained difficult to drive on due to ice.

Most of the missing persons are reportedly workers of two NTPC power project Tapovan-Vishnugad hydel project and the Rishi Ganga Hydel Project which faced the flood fury and were swept away in the gushing waters.

Defence Budget increased from Rs 4,71,000 crores to Rs 4,78,000 crores. Pension bill reduced from Rs 1,33,000 crores to Rs 1,15,000 crores.
