Lubbock police seek tips after attempted kidnapping of teen girl Staff reports The Lubbock Police Department’s Special Victims Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect in an attempted kidnapping of a teenage girl earlier this month. Lubbock police were dispatched just before 10 p.m. May 4 for a report of an attempted kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl, according to a statement from Lubbock police on Friday. Upon further investigation, investigators with LPD’s Special Victims Unit were able to determine the victim was jogging in the 5000 block of Interstate-27 when the suspect approached her from behind and placed her in a chokehold.

Oscar Camas, is a 21 year-old male Hispanic who was last seen at his residence on the 27000 block of Solamint Road in Santa Clarita, Wed, Apr 28, 2021, at approximately 2:00 a.m. Oscar is 5’8” tall, 160lbs with long curly black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on the right thigh. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt and black sweatpants. Mr. Camas suffers from depression. His family has not seen or heard from him and are very concerned and asking for the public’s help.
