Lubbock police seek tips after attempted kidnapping of teen girl

The Lubbock Police Department’s Special Victims Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect in an attempted kidnapping of a teenage girl earlier this month.
Lubbock police were dispatched just before 10 p.m. May 4 for a report of an attempted kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl, according to a statement from Lubbock police on Friday.
Upon further investigation, investigators with LPD’s Special Victims Unit were able to determine the victim was jogging in the 5000 block of Interstate-27 when the suspect approached her from behind and placed her in a chokehold.
The case against a prominent Santa Clarita Valley Realtor who had been accused of a sexual assault stemming from a Las Vegas real estate conference last summer was dismissed, a court clerk confirmed Thursday.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Santa Clarita man.
Oscar Camas, is a 21 year-old male Hispanic who was last seen at his residence on the 27000 block of Solamint Road in Santa Clarita, Wed, Apr 28, 2021, at approximately 2:00 a.m.
Oscar is 5’8” tall, 160lbs with long curly black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on the right thigh. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt and black sweatpants.
Mr. Camas suffers from depression. His family has not seen or heard from him and are very concerned and asking for the public’s help.
Zonta Club of Santa Clarita will be hosting their 36th annual Women in Service Celebration, to honor 17 women serving the Santa Clarita Valley.
The club welcomes all to join them to honor these women who have worked hard to improve the lives of other women and girls in the Santa Clarita Valley. The volunteers were nominated by non-profits that share Zonta’s mission.
