While pharmacy chains like Walgreens and CVS have been able to administer COVID-19 vaccines, Harbor Drug is waiting for the go ahead to order vaccines for its customers.
The Harbor Beach-based drugstore chain did apply through federal and state pathways to distribute vaccines, getting approval as a member of the Good Neighbor Pharmacy network to administer vaccines for Phase 2 of the rollout.
Mike Delpierre, the owner of Harbor Drug, said there are scheduling and reporting tools up and running for Harbor Drug and the chain will notify those on the waiting list based on current government criteria either by phone call or email of their appointment. A link for sign ups is available on the Harbor Drug website.
