TACOMA, Wash. - A Puyallup woman has been sentenced to 10 years to life in prison for repeatedly having sex with an 11-year-old boy who played on her husband s lacrosse team.
Su Hyon Dillon, 44, was sentenced in Pierce County Superior Court on Friday after she pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree child rape and one count of second-degree child rape.
She will spend a year in jail, with the balance of the prison sentence suspended for sex offender treatment and adherence to sex offender community custody conditions, according to court documents.

Dec. 29 A public records activist s lawsuits allege records about the death of a man fatally shot by a U.S. Marshals task force earlier this year in Lacey were improperly withheld.
Arthur West has sued Lakewood, Thurston County and the state Department of Corrections for records about the death of Michael Reinoehl.
Reinoehl was the suspect in a shooting that killed a right-wing activist at a Portland rally Aug. 29. The task force killed him Sept. 3 outside an apartment complex near Lacey, in the Tanglewilde neighborhood.

New WA program plans to help curb conflict after eviction moratorium
A new pilot program being launched in six counties aims to help avoid conflict between landlords and tenants when the eviction moratorium eventually lifts.
First established in March when the pandemic began, the eviction moratorium prevents landlords from evicting tenants for non-payment of rent. It does not erase the rent that is due when the moratorium eventually lifts.
“It was developed to anticipate what we can do to alleviate some of the wave of evictions that will hit when the moratorium lifts,” said Pierce County Superior Court Commissioner Clint Johnson.

Dec. 20 A former safety manager has sued MultiCare, alleging that the health system retaliated against him for whistleblower complaints he filed.
Christopher LaDue s lawsuit, filed earlier this month in Pierce County Superior Court, names MultiCare and The Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
He accused MultiCare of failing to address his concerns, and The Joint Commission of making it obvious that he was the whistleblower. While employed at MultiCare as the Manager of Safety and Environment of Care, Mr. LaDue tried to address unsafe and unsanitary conditions that existed at many of MultiCare s locations, his attorney Kristi Favard said in a statement.
