Before becoming a mum about 20 years ago, sleep was easy for Gracela Gregorio. However, after the typical sleep disruptions of two children and the eight years it took for her youngest to sleep through the night, Gregorio’s sleep still only totals about four or five hours a night. It’s rare that she sleeps for longer than 90 minutes at a time. Abigail Dougherty Auckland Osteopath Gracela Gregorio has tried all the sleep hygiene tactics – cutting screen time before bed, reducing caffeine. But to no avail. “I’m actually at the point where I am so desperate about my sleep,” said Gregorio, an osteopath in Auckland. “I’m waking up crying out loud ‘I just want to go to sleep .”
