Audit finds four more COVID deaths in Trigg County

Man Killed In Trigg County Head-On Collision

A Clarksville man was killed in a wreck on US 68 at the Lake Barkley Bridge in Trigg County Wednesday afternoon. Kentucky State Police say a van driven by 64-year-old John Smith was going eastbound in the westbound lanes and narrowly missed colliding with two vehicles before hitting a truck driven by 20-year-old Andrew Amsden of Cadiz. Amsden and a passenger in his vehicle were taken by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital with what authorities say are non-life-threatening injuries. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene by the Trigg County Coroner’s Office. The crash happened just before 6 p.m. and led to the westbound lanes being closed for several hours.

One Person Killed In Trigg County Crash

A man was killed in a wreck on US 68 at the Lake Barkley Bridge in Trigg County Wednesday afternoon. Trigg County emergency personnel say a vehicle was going eastbound in the westbound lanes and hit a vehicle head-on killing one of the drivers and injuring the second. The crash happened just before 6 p.m. and led to the westbound lanes being closed for several hours. Authorities have not released the names of anyone involved in the crash.
