The program is called Pure Michigan Small Business Relief Initiative and is being funded by the federal CARES Act.  Washtenaw County, along with five other counties, that include Livingston and Jackson, have been awarded a total of $900,000 out of $10 million for businesses in need.  Chad Wiebesick is the vice-president of marketing and communications for the convention and visitors bureau Destination Ann Arbor.  He explains how the funding will benefit the local economy.
