A man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that happened at a home in Mid-West Jacksonville over the weekend.
Donna Tolbert Jr., 27, was arrested Monday for attempted murder.
Officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff s Office were dispatched to a person shot at 1803 West 11th Street on Jan. 31. JSO said the victim in the shooting was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit responded to the hospital to speak with the victim.
A delivery driver was arrested after he stole a customer’s Teacup Poodle, Jacksonville Beach police say.
Arlinson Chilito was making a Grubhub delivery Saturday evening when the tiny puppy ran out of the customer’s condo. Police say Chilito grabbed the puppy and hid her in his delivery bag, then left the building, bypassing the lobby staff.
Officers and detectives say video surveillance from the condominium captured the theft on video. Hours later, Chilito was located at his residence in Jacksonville with the puppy.
Chilito, 22, was arrested and charged with grand theft. He is currently in the Duval County Jail on $92,512 bond. Jail records show he also faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, and possession of marijuana.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. The Jacksonville Beach Police Department arrested a man allegedly posing as a Grubhub driver accused of stealing a puppy from a customer s condominium Saturday night.
According to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department, Arlinson Chilito delivered food to a condominium in the 1000 block of 11th Avenue South. In a statement, Grubhub said Chilito was using another driver s account without the company s knowledge.
