Mineral City man charged with abduction and gross sexual imposition

Staff report The Times-Reporter NEW PHILADELPHIA  A 32-year-old Mineral City resident has been charged with abduction and two counts of gross sexual imposition involving a 15-year-old victim. Kyle J. Moore committed the offenses May 21, according to the indictment from the Tuscarawas County Grand Jury. The abduction charge alleges Moore restrained the liberty of the victim under circumstances that created a risk of physical harm or placed her in fear.   The gross sexual imposition charges allege that Moore compelled the victim to submit to sexual contact by force or threat of force.  Do Not Sell My Info / Cookie Policy

Grand jury to hear case against Sajjaad J Butler in shooting death

The shooting occurred in the 600 block of 11th Drive NW, according to police. Butler s murder charge could bring a death sentence or a life sentence if he is convicted, according to VonAllman. Other possibilities are 25-years-to-life and 30-years-to-life. Aggravated robbery carries a prison term of three to 11 years and a possible fine up to $20,000. Mark Perlaky of the Tuscarawas County Public Defender s Office is representing Butler. Butler was free on bond in a Stark County case at the time of Carlisle s murder. He is scheduled to stand trial April 5 on four counts of felonious assault and one count of discharging a firearm in or near prohibited premises in Canton. Korns going to grand jury Nancy Molnar Times-Reporter staff writer dover UHRICHSVILLE The case against a man who allegedly shot his brother in the back will go to the Tuscarawas County Grand Jury. Dresden E. Korns, 24, is charged with attempted murder and felonious assault in connection with the shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in Oxford Township. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday morning in the Southern District of Tuscarawas County Court in Uhrichsville. Acting Judge Jason Jackson sent the case to the grand jury. He set bail at $100,000 with a 10 percent feature.  Korns is accused of shooting his 18-year-old brother, Dalton Miller, while Miller s 16-year-old girlfriend and Korns children, ages 2 and 4, were in a sport utility vehicle.
