Pataskala, Southgate settlement may clear way for Ohio 310 development

The City of Pataskala and the Southgate development company have reached a settlement regarding a proposed commercial and residential development plan for Ohio 310, at the city’s southern gateway.
Pataskala had zoned the property as a planned development district known as “Hazelton Crossing.”
Southgate has plans for a development that would combine commercial properties, residential homes, condominiums and assisted living units.
According to the MOU, about 25 acres of the site would be devoted to commercial uses of up to 10,000 square feet per acre; 8.4 acres for an assisted living use; more than 10 acres for condominiums and 51.35 acres for single family homes that could number up to 155 lots.
