Closure of drug trafficking operation at Bundaberg
Bundaberg detectives recently closed a drug trafficking operation, originating in the Bundaberg area and extending to south-east Queensland, involving the alleged distribution of steroids, cocaine and MDMA.
During the operation several residences and businesses were searched with officers locating cash, drugs and associated equipment.
Following information received about the unlawful importation of Selective Androgen Receptive Modulators (SARM) which is similar to testosterone, police searched an Avoca business.
It will be alleged police located more than twenty containers of restricted SARM drugs, as well as steroidal powders and liquids. They also located a substantial amount of packaging, labels, gel capsules and empty vials.
A 20-year-old student accused of raping a woman in a park was on bail, charged over an allegedly similar sex attack earlier this year, a court has heard.

Brian Earl Johnston was to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Friday in relation to serious assault charges. The nature of the charges cannot be revealed for legal reasons. Premium Content A Gold Coast man who allegedly doused himself and a house in petrol and threatened to set it alight in a domestic violence incident will appear in court on Monday. Queensland Police, alongside paramedics and firefighters, were called to a house in O Reilly Drive at Coomera at 9.30pm on Sunday after the disturbance was reported. A QPS spokeswoman said officers found the man had poured petrol throughout the house in what is alleged to be a domestic violence incident. In response, an emergency public safety declaration was put in place for a short time as officers attempted to defuse the situation. It was revoked by 11pm.
