Olney Enterprise is bidding farewell to our editor-in-training, Ethan Nickel, after one year and nine months. Ethan is relocating to Oklahoma on a full-time basis to be closer to his wife, Whitnie, who is completing medical school.
“I plan on moving to Tulsa full-time with my wife, who is in her second year of medical school. She will be doing her rotations for the next two years, and I just wanted to be able to be with her and improve my marriage. It has been difficult doing back and forth,” Nickel said.

Effective Tuesday (May 25), Southwestern Oklahoma State University will no longer require the use of masks or social distancing on campus locations or at any SWOSU-sponsored activity.
According to a press release issued by the university, anyone who wishes to mask indoors or outdoors may freely do so, and unvaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to become vaccinated.
Officials say SWOSU plans can be adjusted, based on the status of the pandemic, and in accordance with CDC and Oklahoma State Department of Health recommendations. SWOSU will continue protocols for illness reporting and quarantine.
As announced earlier, SWOSU says they look forward a return to more normal operations this 2021 fall semester.
