Hate crime charge filed after Black FedEx driver threatened December 22 2020
The Washington County Sheriff s Office said the man made racial slurs against the FedEx driver.
An Aloha man was arrested Sunday afternoon, Dec. 20, in what the Washington County Sheriff s Office is investigating as a hate crime involving a driver delivering packages in his neighborhood.
Rodney Kirk Bryant, 68, faces charges of first-degree bias crime, unlawful use of a weapon and menacing.
Deputies say Bryant came out of his house and stood in the street, blocking the way of a FedEx vehicle delivering packages in the area of Southwest Cascadia Court and 188th Avenue just before 1 p.m. Sunday.
