2nd dose appointments opening up ahead of schedule for 70-plus in Windsor-Essex
As of Saturday morning, more Windsor-Essex residents will be able to book an appointment for their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit reported 14 new COVID-19 infections today, but due to a recent data clean up there was only an increase of two cases overall.
âThis is just a one day number. We know how quickly things can change. Please, please continue to follow public health measures until we see a consistent decline in the cases,â said Medical Officer of Health Dr. Wajid Ahmed. âWe have been seeing some decline in the last week or so and we would like to see that trend continue.â
14 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor-Essex
Windsor-Essex health officials reported an increase of 14 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, continuing a trend of declining cases amid increasing vaccination rates in the region.

The health unit also reported 14 new cases of the virus on Tuesday, and announced that Nicole Dupuis, the current director of health promotion with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, has been named the new CEO effective July 1.
