Spring training begins Sunday in Lee County for the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins, which means there will be more traffic on some roads around their stadiums.
Even though both teams are selling tickets at limited capacity this year, traffic jams are expected, especially when both teams are at home on the same day, as the stadiums are only about six miles apart.
JetBlue Park at Fenway South, home of the Red Sox, is on Daniels Parkway, near Southwest Florida International Airport, and Hammond Stadium at CenturyLink Sports Complex, where the Twins play, is down the road on Six Mile Cypress Parkway, just west of Daniels.

“We knew that we wanted to move to Southwest Florida and purchase new construction, preferably a no- or low-maintenance mid-rise condominium,” recalled Brown. “We searched for days. Finally, our realtor brought us to Genova, and we were shown a virtual tour in the Sales Center. We both knew immediately this was the place for us. This was our new home. It had everything we dreamed of – and more.”
