A wintry mix of snow and ice may have kept some people off the roads in New Albany, Indiana, but health care workers at Baptist Health Floyd hospital didn’t have to worry about driving. Some helpful Jeep owners stepped in to make sure anyone who needed a ride to work in the dangerous conditions had a ride.
Volunteers with the Southern Indiana Jeep Members saved the day by using their four-wheel drive Jeeps to help these essential employees. Dana Eberle-Peay, who picked up several health care workers, says, “If we have the means to help people, we might as well use it.”
