We all know smoking is bad for you. Unless of course the smoker is being used to make the best BarBQ. You make not know it but Newark has some of the best BarBQ in the country. Among the best throughout New Jersey would be Fat Jacks on the South Black Horse Pike in Williamstown. Unfortunately, he has had his smoker stolen.
We re talking $30,000 worth of smoker which makes some of the best ribs, brisket, and pulled pork anywhere. I know, I ve tried it. Glen Gross the owner called me on New Jersey 101.5 to talk about the loss, his insurance, and his friends in the business who are helping out. Fat Jack s BBQ, a longtime South Jersey barbecue business on South Black Horse Pike in Williamstown is asking for the public s help after someone stole it s $30,000 smoker.
Owner Glenn Gross took to the business Facebook page to write smoking meats is the lifeline of our business.
Some time after the eatery closed 8 p.m. Sunday, June 13, and opened Monday morning at 9, someone swiped the smoker, which was both booted and locked.
He said this is the second time the smoker had been stolen in the past five years. The last time it was recovered and now he s asking for everyone s help locating it a second time.

A Philadelphia resident was charged in a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian in Camden County earlier this month, authorities said.
Gregory Graves, 40, faces counts of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, being involved in a fatal accident while having a suspended driver’s license and hindering apprehension or prosecution, Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Runnemede Police Chief Paul Dailey said in a statement Saturday night.
Police found the victim, Frederick Murray, 61, of Somerdale, suffering from multiple injuries on Jan. 3 at South Black Horse Pike and East Clements Bridge Road in Runnemede after being called to a pedestrian hit in the area, authorities said. Murray was rushed to an area hospital, where he died Jan. 11.
