Delhi: Now, donate old shoes, toys at this bank in Subhash Nagar

(Photo: India Today) Delhiites can now donate their shoes and toys at a bank that has been inaugurated by top officials of South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) in Subhash Nagar. Now, anyone can donate toys and shoes at this bank while those who need them can take them from here. Deputy Commissioner of SDMC Sonal Swaroop and Chairman of West Zone Col. B K Oberoi inaugurated Delhi’s first Shoe Bank in Subhash Nagar. In addition to this, SDMC’s West Zone also inaugurated a Toy Bank for children. Dy Commissioner Sonal Swaroop said that keeping in view of Swachhta Survekshan-2021, SDMC has taken a unique initiative to open the Shoe Bank.

The message reads, “Your request for Death Registration has been approved” with a link below which directed the users to the civic body’s website.  “When you are busy completing your daily chores and you suddenly get a message regarding death registration, wouldn’t you be shaken!” said 56-year-old Vinod Sharma.

Representative image NEW DELHI: “When you are busy completing your daily chores and you suddenly get a message regarding death registration, wouldn’t you be shaken!” exclaimed 56-year-old Vinod Sharma, who runs a private engineering firm in south Delhi’s Aya Nagar. The message to him from South Delhi Municipal Corporation read, “Your request for death registration has been approved. You can download the certificate from the link given below”, followed by a link from the civic body’s website. “I didn’t even touch the link. Here I am alive and healthy. No one in my family has passed away either,” the nonplussed engineer said. “Nobody has applied for such a certificate and SDMC is sending us a death certificate.”
