Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a crash at Truxtun Ave. & Oak St. that they believe is connected to a shooting that happened near Valley Plaza Mall.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. â The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened in South Bakersfield Wednesday evening.
According to BPD officials, officers received a call from Mercy Hospital downtown around 7:30 p.m. for reports of two gunshot victims who showed up at the hospital.
As officers were investigating they responded to a vehicle crash near Truxtun Ave. & Oak St.
