Her lemons came from the Olympic-sized pool at the 2828 Hackworth St. property that she and her husband, Tony, bought a few years ago. The pool was so badly cracked that it couldnât be fixed. So now the pool is her garden. Hogstenâs love affair with flowers started as a child when she would visit her grandparentsâ tobacco and cattle farm in Woodford County.

Layman has been decorating and creating for years, having volunteered for many community events, including the Festival of Trees and Trains. Layman is a member of the Southern Hills Garden Club, Friends of the Children, the Paramount Womenâs Association and several other organizations. Layman has a bachelorâs degree in international economics and Spanish. She is a mother of two children, Rilee and Marlowe.
