SOUTH BEND Mark William Coleman has been charged with murder and domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury in connection with the death of Enedina Nina Sohlke.
Police, responding to calls from family members who had not heard from her in several days, entered the home and found Sohlke s body in an upstairs bathroom on Oct. 11. Sohlke was 47 years old.
Sohlke and Coleman, 30, started corresponding prior to his release from prison in May 2020. Their relationship continued and they eventually moved in together in September.
The house had two stories, and her family said that Sohlke stayed on the first floor because her right leg had been amputated below the knee. Sohlke also underwent a kidney transplant last summer and had several medical appointments scheduled in Indianapolis. However, family members told police that Coleman prevented Sohlke from attending those appointments and he prevented them from visiting her.
