Police officers were called to a collision involving a silver Mazda on Rectory Road in Piddlehinton near Dorchester at 6.54am on Thursday, January 7. Officers at the scene saw that the vehicle had crashed into a telegraph pole, forcing the road to be closed in both directions to allow staff from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks to repair the damaged utility pole. The driver was not injured in the collision and the vehicle has been recovered from the scene.
