1/1 EMERGENCY services were called to the Brunel West Car Park because of concerns for the welfare of a man. Police officers, firefighters and paramedics were are at the scene in Farnsby Street where screaming and shouting could be heard. The route was closed from Faringdon Road along with other streets in the area, but they have since reopened. Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue confirmed they were called at 10.30am as an extra precaution. A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: The matter has now been resolved safely and the man in question is receiving medical treatment. A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service added: We responded to a male patient at this location following a call at 10.26am. He has been taken to hospital by land ambulance.

An air ambulance landed in the Chaddlewood area of Plympton on Tuesday afternoon (February 16) after a serious incident unfolded.
The air ambulance landed near Redwood Drive and several ambulances were seen parked up in a nearby street.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance service confirmed that they attended to an incident at a private address following a call at 3.33pm.
The air ambulance landed at the scene at approximately 4pm on Tuesday and left at around 5.15pm.
