Rescue teams went to the aid of a ;person trapped in waist-deep mud. Picture: Hamble Lifeboat. RESCUE teams rushed to the aid of a man trapped in waist-deep mud on the banks of the River Hamble. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service mobilised crews from Hightown and Redbridge, plus the water rescue team from Fareham. Coastguards and Hamble Lifeboat also took part in the rescue, which last almost two hours. Writing on social media the lifeboat crew said: Hamble Lifeboat were tasked to a multi-agency response along with Hill Head Coastguard Rescue Team and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service to rescue a person stuck in waist-deep mud at Manor Farm Country Park.

POLICE spotted on a residential street in beggarwood were called to assist the ambulance service with a ‘serious medical emergency’, it has been confirmed. Reports of police presence on Beggarwood Lane led some in the area to speculate as to the reasons. Posting on Facebook, one resident said that there has been an incident leading to road closure on the residential street, close to Ferndown Close. However, Hampshire Constabulary told the Gazette that the road was not closed, but “officers did attend Beggarwood Lane today assisting SCAS after a man had a medical episode”. Another resident in the area added that they had heard loads of sirens and hope everyone s ok .

Police responded at 5.06pm yesterday evening (February 22) to reports of concern for welfare by Bishopstoke Bridge. A woman had fallen from the bridge and had sustained serious leg injuries.
Ambulance crews responding to reports of a woman falling from at Bridge at Eastleigh Station 22/2/21 South Central Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, two rapid response vehicles, the Hazardous Area Response Team and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight critical care car to the incident. The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Southampton in a serious but stable condition. Her injuries are described as not life-threatening.
