Governor Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr. (Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN)
In a Facebook post, Remulla said 196 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Cavite on Thursday (March 11) and that four of the patients were from his office in the Provincial Capitol.
Despite the new surge in infections, the governor said imposing boundary control on the province’s 19 boundary points will likely result in negative effects. This includes a halt in employment, a rise in commodity prices, and heavy traffic along Coastal Road, Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX), and South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).
Remulla appealed to his constituents to continue following health protocols despite being under the community quarantine for a year.

Perhaps it’s because of his knowledge that the project would soon give motorists faster travel times in one of the busier parts of the metropolis. The three-lane Skyway Extension project connects the elevated Skyway to South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) through the Alabang Viaduct.
