Kzoo Parks hosting free outdoor movies

KALAMAZOO, Mich. â Kzoo Parks announced that next Friday they will be showing The Croods: A New Age at South Westnedge Park (1101 S. Westnedge Avenue) on Friday, July 2.
The movie will start at 7 p.m. with music playing at 6 p.m. Attendes will be provided snacks while supplies last.
Those attending are encouraged by Kzoo Parks to follow CDC and local health guidelines to protect people from COVID-19.

City of Portage â Asphalt multi-use trail maintenance to begin Tuesday By Will Kriss

PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) â Asphalt trail maintenance is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 15, according to an announcement from the City of Portage Monday.
The two trails affected include the following:
Schrier Park Trail (main asphalt walkway to wood chip trail),
Shaver Road Multi-use Trail (Portage Industrial Cul-de-sac to South Westnedge Park baseball diamonds).
The Multi-use Trails will be closed during the maintenance process and are expected to be open for full use by 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 17.
Trail users are asked to seek an alternate route during the work time.
