Secretary Mosques: Shabbir Ali Condemns Arrest Of JAC Activists Jan 24, 2021, 17:48 IST Hyderabad, January 24: Former Minister & ex-Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has strongly condemned the arrest of activists of various organisations and individuals who tried to visit the Secretariat to offer prayers at the two mosques, Masjid-e-Hashmi and Masjid-e-Dafatir Mohammedia, which were illegally demolished by TRS Government in July last year.   Shabbir Ali, in a media statement on Sunday, said that the Joint Action Committee of various Muslim organisations had given a call for Chalo Secretariat to offer prayers at the same place where two mosques existed in the Secretariat till they were demolished by TRS Govt on the intervening night of 7th-8th July, 2020. Anjani Kumar, Hyderabad Police Commissioner, on Saturday said, A six-member gang of inter-state house burglars was arrested on Friday. They were involved in 26 property offences. The seized items include 23 motorcycles, gold ornaments ring, silver ornaments, a laptop and three mobile phones, Kumar added.

The government had identified 4,296 people for Day 1 and around 4,000 turned up at almost 140 sites across Telangana. Among the people who were provided the first dose of Covishield vaccine were doctors, nurses, auxiliary nurse midwives and sanitation staff. 11 people recorded mild adverse events after immunisation reactions like pain at the area of the vaccination, giddiness and sweating. Health officials were happy that 92% of them took the shot and that they would attempt to convince those who were afraid.

The state has got the lowest aid from the central government between this period. The state had suffered a fall of 58% of grant-in-aid transfers from the Centre, according to non-profit body PRS Legislative Research’s report State of State Finances. The state tops the list when it comes to total tax revenue as percentage of gross state domestic product.
