HYDERABAD: Land survey inquiry over the land grabbing allegations levelled against Health Minister Etela Rajender, revealed sensational details. A senior official, who was part of the probe team, told reporters that prima facie there was encroachment of assigned land at Achampet and Hakimpet villages.
As part of the comprehensive day-long survey by the Medak district revenue authorities and district collector on Saturday revealed that a few structures which are in possession of Jamuna Hatcheries were owned by minister Etela Rajendar.
However, the ministers claimed that the assigned lands were not used for his hatchery and that the original assignees are in possession of the land.

Fearing that Covid-19 situation in Telangana might go the Maharashtra way, where around 60,000 daily cases are being reported, health officials in the state urged people to “wear a mask in home” too.
Director of Health Services Dr G Srinivasa Rao warned that the state was going the Maharashtra way with the recent spike in Covid-19 cases. He, however, denied that the government was planning to impose lockdown or strticter restrictions in Telangana. Maharashtra earlier this week announced stricter curbs on movement of people shutting down several places and services to contain the Covid-19 spread in the state.

Hyderabad: The city police have arrested a 48-year-old Chartered Accountant for circulating fake government order announcing partial lockdown in Telangana in view of rising COVID-19 cases.
The accused has been identified as Sreepathi Sanjeev Kumar, who works as Chartered Accountant with Karvy and Company in Telangana capital Hyderabad. The accused is a native of Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. He has been residing in Hyderabad since 1993.

Hyderabad, April 6 : Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Wednesday tested positive for Covid-19.
The top bureaucrat was found infected hours after he held a video conference with District Collectors and other officials to review the pandemic situation in the state and issued directions to double the number of Covid tests and vaccinations.
The Chief Secretary, who spends a busy day holding review meetings at his office at the state Secretariat, felt unwell during the day. He underwent Covid-19 test, which turned out to be positive.
The IAS officer, who took first dose of Covid vaccine three days ago, revealed that he tested positive and though there are no symptoms, he has isolated himself at home.
