Extensive arrangements are in place for the Mahabubnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad Graduates’ onstituency elections for Telangana State Legislative Council, set to be conducted on March 14.
Polling will be conducted on the day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Graduate voters who registered themselves in nine districts, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal, Narayanpet, Ranga Reddy, Vikarabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, and Hyderabad districts, are eligible to vote.
5.36 lakh voters
Of over 5.31 lakh registered voters, 3.36 lakh are male and 1.95 lakh are female, while 68 are others. Medchal-Malkajgiri has the highest number of voters at 1.31 lakh, while Narayanpet has the lowest at 13,899.

Hyderabad, Mar 7 (IANS): With just a week left for elections to two seats of Telangana State Legislative Council, ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and opposition BJP and Congress have intensified their campaign to woo over 10 lakh graduates who are eligible to cast their votes.
The stakes are high for TRS, which is facing a tough task to retain Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda seat and also to ensure victory of former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao s daughter S. Vani Devi in Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar constituency.
The major parties and independents are busy in intensive campaign to reach out to graduates for March 14 elections.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is going to adress a public meeting near check-post at Haliya in Nalgonda district on February 10th. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the meeting.
The TRS leaders are trying to mobilize a large number of people from the nook and cranny of the Nalgonda district. It is expected that around 20,000 to 30,000 people from each Assembly consitutency may attend the public meeting. KCR will address a ‘Dhanyavadha Sabha’ (thanksgiving public meet) at Haliya, where a bypoll is going to be held soon.
Energy Minister G Jagdish Reddy inspected the arrangements for the meeting and instructed the officials and TRS party cadre to see to that no inconvenience should be created to the public who are taking part in the meeting.
