Police Personnel in Telangana To Be Vaccinated Apr 10, 2021, 09:29 IST
Hyderabad: Being Front Line Work Force, Police Personnel including Home Guards across the state have been directed to undergo Covid Vaccination, in case not already done in view of Rapid increase in Covid cases all over the State.
The Unit Officers including District Superintendents of Police and Commissioners of Police have been directed to take up a special drive to identify Police Personnel who have not yet taken vaccination and ensure that all such police personnel takes vaccination in the next one week in coordination with officials of Health Department.
The Police Department shall reach a 95% level of vaccination for all its police personnel including Home Guards in the next one week.

State emerging as strongest in the country, says Governor at Republic Day celebrations
Asserting that Telangana the new state with new schemes, initiatives and new innovations created a new record, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan said the State is emerging as the strongest State and providing inspiration to other States to emulate the Telangana Model.
The Governor was speaking after unfurling the tricolor to mark the 72nd Republic Day on Tuesday.
The Governor said the State has achieved several distinctions in agriculture, power and supply of drinking water to 100 per cent households compared to the rest of the country in short span of six years as the government was able to reconstruct and rebuild the State with full dedication, determination and commitment. “Though a newly born State, Telangana has been attracting the attention of the entire country and became a role model that is `Telangana model’,” she said.

A constable with Telangana State Special Police was found dead at his residence at Rama Rao Nagar of Borabanda here on Wednesday night.
According to Sanathnagar police of Cyberabad Commissionerate, Malleshetty Rajender (45), died after hanging himself from a ceiling fan allegedly over family disputes.
A 2005 batch constable posted at 1st Battalion of TSSP, Yousufguda, he hailed from Nagarkurnool district. In October last, he was placed under suspicion for ‘negligence in performing duty’. On Wednesday evening, Rajender sent a WhatsApp message to his wife, who along with their two daughters went to her maternal house in Wanaparthy district for the Sankranti festival, stating he would resort to the extreme step.

A 30-year-old constable of the Telangana State Special Police, 8th Battalion, Kondapur, R.N. Varma, died on the spot when a lorry hit the two-wheeler he was pillion riding on the National Highway near Komanappali in the limits of Mummidivaram police station in East Godavari district on Wednesday.
According to Mummudivaram Circle Inspector B. Rajasekhar, the incident occurred while the constable, R.N. Varma, was on his way to home on the two-wheeler which was riding by his relative. Varma was received by his relative from the Amalapuram bus station on his arrival from Kondapur on leave.
