Good response at pre-bid meeting

Updated: Share Article AAA A pre-bid meeting on Thursday organised by the State government virtually for prospective bidders in a global e-tendering for procurement of COVID vaccines evoked good response. Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Reddy, Managing Director, Telangana State Medical Services Infrastructure Development Corporation, which floated the tender for one crore doses, said Russia’s Sputnik V and a UK team of AstraZeneca were the overseas bidders who participated in the event. Among the country’s bidders were Bharat Biotech, Serum Institute and Ahmedabad-headquartered Zydus Cadila. Mr. Reddy said Sputnik V representatives enquired about the cold chain system available in the State because the company produced two variants of vaccine, one that required handling in temperature of minus degrees and the other in the range of two to eight degrees Celcius.

Image Source: IANS News Hyderabad, May 19 : The Telangana government on Wednesday floated a global e-tender for procurement of 10 million doses of vaccine for Covid over a period of six months. The Telangana State Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC) has invited online short term global e-tenders from licensed manufacturers for supply of Covid vaccine. The tender can be downloaded from 6.30 p.m. on May 21 and the last date/time of online submission of the tender document is June 4, up to 6 p.m.

Telangana expects COVID-19 vaccine rollout by mid-January, to administer shots to 80 lakh in 10 days

Express News Service HYDERABAD: Expecting the COVID-19 vaccine rollout to commence by the middle of January, the Telangana State Health Department is gearing up accordingly with strict timelines. Director of Public Health G Srinivas Rao, speaking to The New Indian Express, stated that the initial vaccine rollout would be for nearly 80 lakh people from four vulnerable groups - healthcare workers, essential service workers, individuals above the age of 50 and individuals below 50 with co-morbidities. The State has already conducted the first round of training for State-level officials in a two-day workshop that concluded on Tuesday. The second round of workshop for districtlevel officials will be conducted from December 17.
