Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that people in Huzurnagar are suspecting that a principal aide of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and TRS MP Santosh Kumar were helping the land mafia. “People are wondering with such a huge uproar against grabbing government and Tribal lands, why is that the district and State administration maintaining complete silence on the issue. TRS councilors and other party men themselves are alleging that government and Tribal lands worth hundreds of crores were forcibly being grabbed by unscrupulous elements in Huzurnagar,” he said.

A meeting of all 33 District Congress Committees (DCCs) held in Khammam unanimously passed the resolution favouring Rahul Gandhi as the president of All India Congress Committee (AICC). It urged him to take up the post again and offered full support. The meeting was attended by AICC incharge for party affairs in Telangana and party MP Manickam Tagore, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), working president Ponnam Prabhakar, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, senior leaders and presidents of DCCs.
