He said this while receiving a contribution of 300 thermal guns from Vodafone Fiji Ltd and Telecom Fiji Ltd totalling $19,500. “This donation will significantly contribute to Government’s efforts to secure our villages, especially in the three provinces of Tailevu, Rewa and Naitasiri,” he said. “The private sector has an important role in Government’s response to defeat the virus.” Vodafone Fiji regional chief executive officer Pradeep Lal said helping those in genuine need of personal protective equipment at this time was a no-brainer.

Picture: RAMA The Nasinu Town Council has issued an illegal development notice to Telecom Fiji Ltd (TFL) and property owners who installed TFL network towers in the area. Residents of Pilling Rd, Nasinu expressed concern last week over a tower they claimed TFL installed in their area. Concerned resident Emele Duituturaga claimed the tower was put up by TFL overnight on Tuesday, June 1, and residents were not consulted. Nasinu Town Council chief executive officer Anurashika Bari said as per the notice, TFL and property owners were required to comply within 30 days.
