Apple’s contract manufacturer Wistron Corporation may take at least another month to restart full production at its Narsapura plant in Kolar district, according to sources.
iPhone manufacturer Wistron had on March 11 announced the resumption of its operations in Karnataka, almost three months after its workforce resorted to violence on December 14, 2020, for non-payment of salaries and overtime wages.

Bengaluru, Mar 16: Opposition Congress legislators in Karnataka on Tuesday said they will not pose any questions to Ministers who have obtained injunction against the telecast or publication of any defamatory material against them, labeling them as immoral .
At least two Congress legislators- Hoovina Hadagali MLA PT Parameshwar Naik and Varuna MLA Yathindra Siddaramaiah refused to pose questions to Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports, Planning, Program monitoring and Statistics Narayana Gowda, during question hour.
This took place even as Gowda was present in the House and was ready to reply to their questions. Gowda is among the six Ministers who got a temporary injunction from the court earlier this month against media organisations from telecasting or publishing any defamatory and unverified news items against them.

A city court on Saturday issued a temporary injunction against media organisations from telecasting or publishing of any defamatory and unverified news items against six Karnataka ministers.
The ministers in the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa-led cabinet had moved the court on Friday seeking an injunction.
Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge D S Vijaya Kumar in the order said in his opinion it is necessary to injunct telecasting or publishing of any unverified news items against the plaintiffs/applicants.
