GREENSBURG - On May 21, 2021, the Decatur County Sheriff s Office conducted a crimes against a child investigation involving the possession of child pornography.
As a result of the investigation, Eric Klosterkemper, 33, address not listed, was arrested by Decatur County Sheriff s deputies on two counts of possession of child pornography, which are Level 5 felonies in the State of Indiana.
Klosterkemper was remanded to the Decatur County Detention Center.
No further information on this matter has been made available at this time.
As with all suspects, Decatur County Sheriff Dave Durant said Klosterkemper is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

GREENSBURG – The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office has released details regarding multiple arrests made in late April.
According to a news release received by the Daily News, at approximately 1 p.m. April 28 the Sheriff’s Department, with the assistance of the Greensburg Police Department and the Decatur County Probation Department, served two search warrants, simultaneously, leading to the arrest of multiple individuals.
The search warrant executed at an undisclosed address in Greensburg led to the arrest of Jeremy Collins, 33, on a preliminary charge of carrying a handgun without a license, a class A misdemeanor.
Kurtis Cupp, 24, was also arrested at this address on a preliminary charge of carrying a handgun without a license, a class A misdemeanor, and a subsequent charge of trafficking with an inmate, a level 5 felony.

BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) -Not a dry eye was in sight as many law enforcement officers and others continue to remember and honor the late Decatur County Sheriff’s Office’s Justin Bedwell.
Just over two months ago,
After his death, he was later promoted to Captain.
Southwest Georgia law enforcement officers and so many more are not letting his legacy of 20 years on the force be lost.
A ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with national police week.
Simmons was sentenced to life without parole in the state prison system plus 25 years by Judge Kevin Chason.
Prior to trial, codefendant Brady Nichole Vaughn pleaded guilty to armed robbery. Vaughn received 30 years serving 15 years in the state prison system.
“I am extremely grateful for the diligent and hard work of all law enforcement and impaneled jury in helping to give some justice to the family of Wayne Lamar Smith,” said D.A. Smith.
Decatur County:
Chief Assistant District Attorney Michael Bankston prosecuted Enrique Martinez whose trial began May 11.
The release said with the assistance of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office and the Oak House, evidence showed that on or about Feb. 6, 2019, Martinez raped a female child forcibly and against her will.
