Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), responsible for executing the country s first bullet train project, invited technical bids for the construction of the Sabarmati maintenance depot for the Mumbai Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. According to a statement shared by NHSRCL, the technical bids opened on Friday, February 19. A total of nine bidders participated in the process and the submitted bids will go through an evaluation process in the next stage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream project, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Bullet Train, was supposed to be commissioned by December 2023. But chances are it may not be realised before 2025 owing to the inordinate delay in land acquisition for the project in Maharashtra. The Uddhav Thackeray government is yet to complete land acquisition for the project that was formally launched in September 2017.

New Delhi: Bullet train work in India is on fast track. Recently, work for detailed & comprehensive geotechnical laboratory testing began for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor. The base of L&T’s testing facility has been established in Surat.
Over there, training sessions have been initiated to train technicians who will be handling the consolidation and triaxial testing at the lab facility. As per NHSRCL, this process is in agreement with the national skill development mission and it also disseminates geotechnical investigation skills to engineers and technicians.

New Delhi, Feb 7 (IANS): With a focus on Prime Minister Narendra Modi s ambitious Aatmanirbhar Bharat programme, the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) through its High Speed Railways Innovation Centre (HSRIC) trust has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISC) to develop Made in India techniques for the Bullet train projects.
An NHSRCL official related to the development told IANS that the HSRIC trust is managed by a board of trustees chaired by NHSRCL Managing Director and supported by Executive Council.
