Dr S D Singh Jamwal, Additional Director General of Police felicitated Inspector Rajesh Anand of Security Pool Jammu for clinching Gold medal in recently concluded 58th National Roller Skating Championship, held at Chandigarh (Mohali) from March 31 to April 11. Inspector Rajesh Anand is State Awardee and international referee of Roller Hockey and presently working as coach of Indian Roller Hockey Team. He had participated in 17 international competitions including Asian and World Championships from the year 1987 to 2010.

JAMMU, Apr 17: Kartikeya Puri, Tamanna Saini and Puneesh Puri brought laurels to Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory by clinching top slots in the most coveted 58th National Roller Skating Championship, held recently at Mohali, Punjab.
Showing their extraordinary grit and highest degree of agility, Kartikeya Puri bagged Gold medal in 3 Km Road Race under 17 years category (Boys), whereas in 9-11 years category (girls), Tamanna Saini showcased amazing swiftness and speed to seal 2nd position in the 1000 meters Rink Race and 3rd slot in one lap Road Race, thus bagged one Silver and one Bronze medals and Puneesh Puri won Bronze medal in 1000 meters Rink Race under 9-11 years boys category.

New Delhi: The tiger patrol team of Assam’s Manas National Park was honoured with the ‘Highly Commended’ certification at the 2021 International Ranger Awards (IRA) Thursday.
Called the ‘Manas Tiger Team’, the 12-member mobile patrol unit of the national park was formed by the forest department of the Bodoland Territorial Council in March 2016.
As many as 10 winners were selected from 113 nominations across 43 countries at the IRA. Additionally, 19 rangers and teams across the world, including the Manas Tiger Team, were recognised with special commendations for their work.
The tiger patrol unit from Manas National Park was also awarded $3,000 for the betterment of the park.
