(Photo courtesy of Fine Arts Department) More than 80 art masterpieces are being presented during the Art In The Reign Of King Rama IX exhibition at the National Gallery Bangkok, Chao Fa Road. Presented by the Fine Arts Department, this is a complementary display to the permanent exhibition titled The Development Of Visual Arts In Thailand , however, the prior focuses more on contemporary art created during the reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. This was considered a glorious period of Thai art because the late king himself was personally interested in all types of art that led to more people opening their hearts to it. His passion contributed to the development of contemporary art today.
