Women in Construction Week is the annual seven-day celebration honoring women in construction presented by NAWIC, The National Association of Women in Construction. Giroux Glass takes seriously this industry-wide effort to support women workers, say officials, and appreciates that there is an entire week dedicated to recognizing their dedication and hard work.
While we aim to honor the women on our team year-round, we thought this week called for a little something special. In celebration of the fantastic work they do every day, and in the spirit of WIC Week, the company created a video highlighting the women of Giroux Glass, which can be viewed here.

For women in construction, the good news is the industry is become more welcoming, inclusive and diverse.
That progress was reflected in a recent poll conducted by the National Association of Women in Construction, or NAWIC. Of the 718 respondents to the survey, a full 71% reported seeing more opportunities for women in the industry – a feat both to acknowledge and celebrate.
The results are especially noteworthy now, as NAWIC and its Milwaukee chapter take time to celebrate national Women in Construction Week.

New Zealand-owned First Mortgage Trust is celebrating its 25 year anniversary with the announcement it has been judged the best New Zealand Non-Bank of the Year. This award comes on the back of last year s achievement, when the trust reported it had more than $1 billion of investor funds under management, a figure which firmly cemented it as the largest non-bank first mortgage provider in New Zealand.
Chief executive officer Tony Kinzett said he was delighted with the February announcement from NZ Advisor, giving particular credit for the award to his hard-working team who are based in offices across the country.
