Bombay HC MUMBAI: Bombay high court on Thursday directed state prison authorities to give a report by May 17 on the health of Sudha Bharadwaj, accused to be an alleged Maoist in the January 2018 Elgaar Parishad case. Bhardwaj’s daughter Maaysha Singh filed the petition for her mother’s interim bail for six months or till such time as the Covid spread is contained in Mumbai. Her counsel Yug Chaudhary argued that Bharadwaj, 60, is lodged at Byculla women’s prison. She has several co-morbidities and that makes her extremely vulnerable and requires urgent medical attention.
