BJP chief cites outlawing of triple talaq, says party working for peace in Assam
BJP president J.P. Nadda on Monday said the NDA government gave Muslim women in the country the liberty they deserved by declaring triple talaq illegal.
Claiming that the party has been working for Assam’s peace and prosperity, he alluded to “positive changes” in Jammu and Kashmir after the repeal of Article 370 of the Constitution.

The leaders of the newly-floated “National Liberation Front of Boroland” (NLFB) said the Centre and Assam government’s lack of interest in solving the Bodo issue.

GUWAHATI: As the BJP is seeking votes for restoring peace in Assam, some former leaders of the erstwhile insurgent group National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) have returned to the jungle and floated a group to resume the armed movement.
In a video statement released to the media, the leaders of the newly-floated “National Liberation Front of Boroland” (NLFB) said the Centre and Assam government’s lack of interest in solving the Bodo issue compelled them to continue with the struggle and fight for rights.
