RSU 25 receives grant for tech literacy program April 9, 2021 on Education, News BUCKSPORT Regional School Unit 25 (RSU 25) has received a $2,500 grant from the Thriving Older Adults Strategic Goal Fund of the Maine Community Foundation to create a technology literacy program for older adults to increase participation in telemedicine and social media. RSU 25 will be working in collaboration with Bucksport Bay Healthy Communities Coalition, RSU 25 Adult and Community Education, the Bucksport Bay Regional Health Center, the Bucksport Senior Center, Gardner Commons and the National Digital Equity Center to run this program. This grant will provide older adults with the knowledge and basic skills to navigate telehealth and social media platforms successfully and will serve as a pilot project to lay a foundation for greater community involvement in the future.
