The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, who is currently being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over massive financial misappropriation, has run to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, after feigning sickness.
SaharaReporters learnt that the EFCC had in October 2020, given Obasa back his passport to enable him get medical treatment, only for him to resurface in Mecca, hale and hearty.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God will on Sunday begin the funeral rites for late Pastor Dare Adeboye, the son of the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Dare died in his sleep on Tuesday at Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was a youth pastor.
He was aged 42.
A statement by the church signed by Leke Adeboye, the younger brother of the deceased, said a special service would be held on Sunday, May 9, at the City of David Youth Church in Eket, Akwa Ibom.
The statement said thanksgiving songs and tribute would be held on Monday, May 10, between 4pm and 6pm, at the RCCG House of Favour, Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has cautioned members of the group and Nigerians of Igbo extraction, urging them to desist from condemning Catholic priest, Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka.
Mbaka has been in the news for calling for the impeachment or resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari for his incompetence in governing the nation.
He was however threatened to be reported to the Pope by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu for asking the president for contracts, which he replied later that he had got direction from God to curse Buhari’s government.
Primate Ayodele warned Tinubu to seek the face of God because he may not survive till 2023.
Speaking exclusively with DAILY POST, the clergyman warned that the former Lagos State governor may suffer same fate as MKO Abiola.
Noting that the APC National Leader would be risking his life, Ayodele said Tinubu was being deceived to contest.
Primate Ayodele also charged the former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar against contesting.
He said: “Let Atiku go and rest while Tinubu should consult God for him to survive till that time in good health.
“Tinubu is very desperate to become Nigeria’s president at all cost, he should be conscious of his health implications and should be aware that he has to seek the face of God if he wants to further because so many things are going to happen in the process.
