1. The management of Greenfield University in Kaduna State yesterday called on the Nigerian government and people of goodwill to come to their aid in rescuing the kidnapped students of the university. This was contained in a statement signed by its Registrar, Bashir Muhammad.
2. Unknown gunmen on Saturday, attacked the country home of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, razed down buildings and vehicles as two security officers also lost their lives. The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikeowo Godson Orlando confirmed the incident.
3. A joint security operation conducted in Imo State on Saturday killed a suspected militia commander of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) popularly known as “Ikonso” and six other operatives at the headquarters of the group in Awomama village in Oru East Local Government Area.

The Chairman of Executive Group and Board Member, Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr Ayo Ogunsan, has hailed the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his recent conferment of a honorary doctorate degree by the Federal University of Agriculture in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
Describing it as “an honour well deserved yet coming without any surprise”, Ogunsan said the honour comes as a proof of Tinubu’s all-round influence.
“I wish to congratulate a father, leader and mentor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his recent feat of being honoured with a doctorate degree by the Federal University of Agriculture, Benue State.

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has given Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, conditions to support him if he opts to contest the 2023 presidential election.
National President of AYCF, Yerima Shettima said the North would study his relationship with Nigerians from other regions before deciding to support Tinubu’s presidential ambition.
In an exclusive chat with DAILY POST, Shettima said that the former Lagos State governor’s ability to maintain a good relationship with other regions would be a deciding factor for the North.
According to Shettima: “If Tinubu decides to contest, there is a way we will answer him. If he decides to contest, we will certainly look at his relationship with other Nigerians outside the Southwest, how fair has he been we other Nigerians outside the Southwest.

The Honourable Minister Of State for Petroleum Resources, H.E Timipre Sylva, has been conferred with the honoris causa degree of Doctor of Science, Letters by the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
While decorating Sylva, the Vice Chancellor of the institution Prof. Richard Kimbir described the minister as a keen advocate of peace. Sylva stabilised the Niger Delta region through the amnesty program he initiated, he built a peace house in Yenagoa, engaged the youths profitably as a way of distracting youths away from restiveness .

Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Saturday urged Nigerians to unite in the fight against bandits and terrorists.
Tinubu said a united front would save the country from disintegration and food shortage caused by the activities of bandits.
He made the call after being awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Management by the Federal University of Agriculture in Makurdi, Benue State.
The former Lagos State Governor urged agricultural stakeholders to ensure that farmlands are not turned into battlegrounds.
