Panto Characters That Should be Cancelled in 2021

Jesus fuck, what a year. The economy? Decimated. Live theatre? Cancelled. Panto? Well, there is a little balsa wood raft of hope floating on a sea of inevitable cancellations and postponements this Christmas. A number of theatres across the country have adapted their traditional panto so it can be screened online, which means that you can enjoy your annual Christmas show in the safety of your own home.
THE Alhambra Theatre has announced its Twelve Days of Christmas season programme. The festive seasonal offering will feature filmed sketches and an online audience will be able to meet cast members from the Alhambra s 2021 production of Cinderella. This Christmas programme will also include the full length online concert, Hello Broadway, featuring a selection of some of the finest hits from the musicals, performed by local performing arts professionals. West Fife theatre company Limelight Productions will also perform Limelight’s Christmas Cracker, featuring everyone’s favourite Christmas songs. The Alhambra has also announced its partnership with National Theatre of Scotland, to offer audiences the chance to stream the brand-new National Theatre of Scotland film of Rapunzel, a special online festive show filmed in the beautiful surrounds of Stirling Castle.
