LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- Summer time is grilling season.
Before you cook your burgers and brats, the La Crosse Fire Department wants everyone to to think safety.
July is the top month for grill fires.
About half of injuries are burns.
A little planning can keep you safe.
“A lot of these injuries happen to young kids because we’ll step away from the barbeque. And then the five-year-old will come up and touch the barbeque and burn his or her hand,” said La Crosse Fire Department community risk educator.
