A musical event ‘Full Strawberry SuperMoon’ will be organized here on June 24 at rooftop theatre of National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, Lok Virsa. Talking to APP, Executive Director Lok Virsa, Talha Ali said the two-hour show would entertain music lovers whereas strict Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures would be observed during the event. He informed that the event would be organised by Lok Virsa in collaboration with Hill Joint and Echo Records. People are encouraged to listen to their favourite music which aimed to entertain the youth and provide them an opportunity to enjoy their cherished musicians, he added. He said a number of music bands and artists would perform with mesmerizing performances to enthral audience with their skilful expertise.

TVET courses begin at Lok Virsa

Islamabad : The National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) here on Monday started classes of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses.
An official of Lok Virsa, Muhammad Ali, told this agency that the institute was providing classes of Documentary and Film Making and Miniature Painting.
The project was started with the collaboration of National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and Lok Virsa.
He said students from different walks of life can take the admission to get the advantage with qualified faculty.
Talking to APP, an artist Raza Mehmood said such kinds of activities provide a platform for the students to refine their skills in a better way with learning from qualified teachers from renowned universities.
PNCA to pay tribute to ‘Uncle Sargam’ tomorrow

Islamabad: Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) will organise a condolence reference to pay a tribute to Farooq Qaiser known as ‘Uncle Sargam’ on May 20.
PNCA Director General Dr Fouzia Saeed, film expert and in-charge PNCA Film Section Ijaz Gul, Salima Hashmi, Arshad Mahmood, other personalities and members of his family would shed light on the life and contributions of prominent puppeteer.
He was died of cardiac arrest at the age of 75 on Friday. Farooq Qaiser, best known as ‘Uncle Sargam’, was a household name for Pakistani kids of the 80s and 90s, said DG PNCA.
