Ljubljana – A further 497 people tested positive for coronavirus in Slovenia on Monday and six patients with Covid-19 died as hospitalisations dropped below 400 for the first time in nearly seven months, official data show.
Data released on the government web site show 4,232 PCR tests were performed on Monday, for a positivity rate of 11.7%. A total of 43,281 people were screened with rapid antigen tests.
The latest daily case count marks a slight increase (1.4%) from Monday a week ago, but data from the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) show the 7-day average of new cases remains flat at 444.
Meanwhile, the cumulative 14-day incidence per 100,000 residents dropped further to 331, from 350 the day before.
