KUCHING, April 4 The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Co-operatives (Medac) wants village traders especially Dayak entrepreneurs to grab business opportunities offered by agencies under the ministry. Its minister, Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said he also wanted small-time entrepreneurs in every district or interior areas to endeavour to expand their businesses. ‘’I throw this challenge to the young who want to venture into numerous types of businesses such as manufacturing, agriculture and others.

Share New Delhi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) felicitated 25 women nano entrepreneurs in the capital averring its commitment to empowering women by providing training and guidance across skills and sectors. Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, handed certificates to the women at an event in the capital, in the presence of several dignitaries, including Shri Praveen Kumar, Secretary, MSDE; Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Additional Secretary, MSDE, Smt. Juthika Patankar, Additional Secretary, MSDE; and Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Director General, Directorate General of Training, and students from across the skill ecosystem, especially women candidates undergoing trainings.

Skill India Mission target achieved, 1.07 cr trained till Jan 2021: Govt SECTIONS Share Synopsis ​As per the statement tabled by skills development minister Mahendra Nath Pandey in Rajya Sabha on Friday, 36.04 lakh candidates were trained under short term training (STT) component. Out of this, 18.95 lakh candidates have been placed (2.77 lakh – self-employed, 15.83 lakh – wage employed and 0.35 apprenticeship). Agencies Further, the minister said that based on the learning from implementation of PMKVY 1.0 (2015-16) and 2.0 (2016-20), the skills development ministry has launched PMKVY 3.0 on January 15, 2021 with an objective to train 8 lakh candidates in the ongoing financial year. Government has achieved its skilling targets with 1.07 crore youth trained by January 2021 under the Skill India Mission, skills development minister Mahendra Nath Pandey said.
