A Madera County man who federal authorities said was involved in the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol as a self-proclaimed member of the far-right Proud Boys group has been arrested by the FBI.
Officials identified Ricky Christopher Willden, 39, of Oakhurst in the San Joaquin Valley, through publicly available videos as one of the Capitol rioters who charged through police barricades as Congress was certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. He was arrested on Wednesday.
